Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of HandlerAI. Please read them carefully — they explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of you when using the Services.
01Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and HandlerAI ("HandlerAI", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the HandlerAI website, applications, APIs, and AI phone-receptionist services (together, the "Services").
By creating an account, starting a trial, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business, and "you" refers to that business.
02The Services
HandlerAI provides an AI-powered virtual receptionist that answers inbound calls to a business phone number, responds using information you provide, captures leads, books appointments where enabled, and delivers summaries and transcripts to you.
The Services depend on third-party providers (including telephony, speech, and AI model providers). Availability, latency, and accuracy may vary, and the Services are provided on a best-efforts basis. HandlerAI is not a substitute for emergency services; callers with emergencies should contact the appropriate emergency number directly.
03Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to violate any law or the rights of others. In particular, you agree not to:
- Use the Services for unsolicited calls or messages (including unlawful telemarketing or robocalling) in violation of applicable law.
- Configure the AI to impersonate a person, provide regulated professional advice it is not authorized to give, or deceive callers about the fact that they may be speaking with an automated system where disclosure is required.
- Upload content or knowledge-base material you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Services or their underlying systems.
05Call recording and consent
The Services may record and transcribe calls to operate features such as summaries, lead capture, and quality scoring. You are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents required by the laws that apply to you and your callers, including one-party and two-party consent rules in the jurisdictions where you and your callers are located.
06Plans, trials, and billing
Paid plans include a set allowance of usage (such as included minutes) and per-unit overage charges as described at checkout. Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis, and usage-based overage is billed in arrears. Unless stated otherwise, all fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for where applicable.
Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
07Your content and data
You retain ownership of the business information, knowledge-base materials, and call data you provide or that is generated on your behalf ("Customer Data"). You grant HandlerAI a license to host, process, and use Customer Data as necessary to provide and improve the Services, subject to our Privacy Policy.
08Intellectual property
HandlerAI and its licensors own all rights in the Services, including the software, models, and branding. These Terms do not grant you any rights in HandlerAI’s intellectual property except the limited right to use the Services as permitted here.
09Third-party services
The Services integrate with third-party providers and tools. Your use of those integrations may be subject to the third party’s own terms, and HandlerAI is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
10Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. HandlerAI does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated responses will always be accurate or complete.
11Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HandlerAI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or business opportunities. HandlerAI’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to HandlerAI in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12Termination
You may stop using the Services and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required for security or legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Services. On termination, your right to use the Services ends, and we may delete Customer Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and retention practices.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting the updated Terms with a new effective date or notifying you by email. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
